Major nutrients in orange juice

Fruit juice is obtained by mechanical extraction (squeezing) of fruits harvested at maturity, followed by pasteurization. Fruit juice from concentrate is obtained in the same way except that the juice is concentrated through evaporation of natural water content. The juice is then restored by adding the same amount of water as was extracted from that juice during the concentration process.

One of the favorite fruit juices to have in substitute of a soda is orange juice. It tastes good, it is natural, and is readily available. Orange juice provides a good dose of vitamin C. Most persons can achieve 100% of the RDA for vitamin C by consuming moderate amounts of citrus fruit. Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a water-soluble essential nutrient which acts as an antioxidant, is involved in iron metabolism, the biosynthesis of carnitine, neurotransmitters, collagen and in the cross-linking of these fibers in bone, and is a cofactor in various enzymatic and hormonal processes.
An 8-ounce glass contains as much potassium as a banana. It has a remarkable variety of phytonutrients. Other micronutrients available in orange juice including folate and polyphenols (e.g., hesperidin which is a flavanone), and may therefore contribute significantly to their daily intakes. Studies show that hesperidin exhibits anti-inflammatory characteristics, and can impact positively on human microvascular function (elasticity and tone of blood vessels).

Beyond the great vitamin and nutrient content, a study has shown that orange juice can lower the blood pressure. Orange juice contains no fat, sodium or cholesterol. The average energy value of citrus is very low which can be important for consumers concerned about obesity.

Orange juice is obtained from the endocarp of the Citrus sinensis fruit. Several varieties of oranges are cultivated to make orange juice, among which the main ones are Hamlin, Pineapple, Valencia and Pera.

Juice of papaya leaves

The papaya leaf contains beta-carotene, calcium, carpaine, fats, flavonols, niacin, papain, tannins, and vitamin C (in higher concentration in the leaf than in the fruit).

Papaya leaf also contains fermenting agent myrosin, alkaloids, rutin, resin, dehyrocarpaines, pseudocarpaine, benzylglucosinolate, linalool, malic aid, methyl salicylate,  chymopapain, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, and vitamin B complex, A and E.

Papaya leaves are cooked and considered a green vegetable and are rich source of gummy, milky, white latex. What are health benefits of drinking avocado juice?

Avocado is a tree native to Mexico and Central America. The name Avocado comes from the Aztec word ‘ahuacatl’ for “testicle,” due to its shape.

This fruit is mainly cultivated in the tropical regions. However, sometimes it is also suitable for growth in more temperate regions.  Avocados are also referred to as the Alligator Pear because of their shape and leathery skin.

The avocado is actually a fruit that’s high in fat. Studies had shown that substituting avocado for other sources of fat in the diet substantially lowers artery clogging LDL levels.

Avocado juice was used by the Mayans to keep their joints moving freely and to eliminate diseases related to the joints such as rheumatism and arthritis. These diseases were unheard of in their culture as long as they consumed avocados.

Avocado juice is a good way of having a balanced quantity of the oil of avocado. The oil is second only to lanolin in being the most penetrating oil known when applied to the human skin.

Avocados are a nutrient-dense fruit that have numerous health benefits and contain the following: monounsaturated fats, vitamin K, folate, potassium, vitamin E, lutein, magnesium, vitamin C and vitamin B6.

The juice also may lower total cholesterol while raising good cholesterol. The juice has plenty of vitamin A which builds up resistance against bacterial infections.

Juice of avocado removes colic, chills in stomach, treats intestinal ulcers, corrects and normalizes stomach disorders, aids in changing the intestinal flora to fight with auto-intoxication, biliousness, colitis, hyperacidity with sour eructations rising up from alimentary.

Avocado juice also offer a host of disease fighting nutrients that may help fend off certain cancers and arthritis as well as boost eyesight and memory. Studies have shown that phytochemicals extracted from the avocado fruit selectively induce cell cycle arrest, inhibit growth, and induce apoptosis in precancerous and cancer cell lines (Semin Cancer Biol. 2007 Oct;17(5):386-94. Epub 2007 May 17).

What nutrients does carrot juice provide?

Carrot juice is made by finely pulverizing the roots to a pulpy suspension, then forcing the liquid though a screen to remove hard pieces.

Carrot juice is a nutritional powerhouse, with over 400% of the RDA for vitamin A. As a source of vitamin C, a glass of this healthy juice also helps fight infection, heal wounds, and boost calcium and iron absorption.

It also ranks high as a source of the other vitamins, especially those of the B complex. Its mineral content is equally rich, and includes calcium, copper, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, chlorine, sulfur, and iron.

Raw carrot juice is rich in potassium, creates an alkaline balance, and works on the entire endocrine glandular system to issue valuable hormones needed by human scalp.

Carrot juice contains 4 times as much phosphoric acid compared to any other food. It is a valuable aid in the improvement of teeth, and bone structure, and it helps to normalize weight.

Carrot juice is an excellent source of beta carotene, the plant parent of vitamin A. The vitamin A content of carrot juice helps to strengthen the eyes. In many cases where defective eyesight was noted--as during the war--the condition was overcome by fortifying the diet with fresh carrot juice.

The alkaline minerals, especially calcium and magnesium, contained in carrot juice help soothe and tone the intestinal walls.

Carrot juice stimulates digestion and has a mild diuretic effect. Carrot juice is also a good source of vitamin B6, which reduces excretion of oxalic acid and helps prevent kidney stones from forming.

The sulphur content of carrots and the chlorine content are the main reason for the remarkable liver cleansing abilities of fresh carrot juice.

Carrot juice is one of the richest sources of vitamin E in carrot. It is very helpful in case of cancer.

The carrot juice’s exceptionally rich supply of carotene and natural phytochemicals boost the immune system, improves eyesight, heal wounds, reduces high blood pressure, cleanses the liver, and improve skin condition.
