What are health benefits of drinking avocado juice?

Avocado is a tree native to Mexico and Central America. The name Avocado comes from the Aztec word ‘ahuacatl’ for “testicle,” due to its shape.

This fruit is mainly cultivated in the tropical regions. However, sometimes it is also suitable for growth in more temperate regions.  Avocados are also referred to as the Alligator Pear because of their shape and leathery skin.

The avocado is actually a fruit that’s high in fat. Studies had shown that substituting avocado for other sources of fat in the diet substantially lowers artery clogging LDL levels.

Avocado juice was used by the Mayans to keep their joints moving freely and to eliminate diseases related to the joints such as rheumatism and arthritis. These diseases were unheard of in their culture as long as they consumed avocados.

Avocado juice is a good way of having a balanced quantity of the oil of avocado. The oil is second only to lanolin in being the most penetrating oil known when applied to the human skin.

Avocados are a nutrient-dense fruit that have numerous health benefits and contain the following: monounsaturated fats, vitamin K, folate, potassium, vitamin E, lutein, magnesium, vitamin C and vitamin B6.

The juice also may lower total cholesterol while raising good cholesterol. The juice has plenty of vitamin A which builds up resistance against bacterial infections.

Juice of avocado removes colic, chills in stomach, treats intestinal ulcers, corrects and normalizes stomach disorders, aids in changing the intestinal flora to fight with auto-intoxication, biliousness, colitis, hyperacidity with sour eructations rising up from alimentary.

Avocado juice also offer a host of disease fighting nutrients that may help fend off certain cancers and arthritis as well as boost eyesight and memory. Studies have shown that phytochemicals extracted from the avocado fruit selectively induce cell cycle arrest, inhibit growth, and induce apoptosis in precancerous and cancer cell lines (Semin Cancer Biol. 2007 Oct;17(5):386-94. Epub 2007 May 17).
