Apricots (Prunus armeniaca) are stone fruits also known as Armenian plums. Apricot juice is very nutritious and contain many essential vitamins and minerals. Apricot juice is highly alkaline, it is prized for its nutrients and is considered an ideal blood builder and purifier.

The juice contains iron and silicon and it is excellent juice to help build up red blood corpuscle. Apricot juice also helps improve eyesight.

The combination of vitamins, minerals, oils, amino acids, and enzymes may even be related to slowing the aging process. This fruit is a decent source of beta carotene, lutein, and zeaxanthin, all of which are potent antioxidants that help fight free radicals in human body.

The juice is also being studied in relation to slowing the growth of cancerous tumors. The main flavonoids in apricots are chlorogenic acids, catechins, and quercetin. These compounds work to neutralize free radicals, which are harmful compounds that damage your cells and cause oxidative stress.

Apricots are a low-calorie fruit, at only 17 calories each. As a comparison, one medium apple provides 104 calories.

Apricots do not have much juice. This delicious thick puree is a meal on its own. It can be thinned down with water or other juices.
