Red and black currant berries that help relieve hemorrhoids

Currants are high in vitamin C, and minerals. This makes their juice valuable in clearing hemorrhoids.

The red currant is rich in potassium, and contains iron, magnesium, and traces of phosphorus, calcium, and sodium. The black currant is an excellent source of potassium, as well as supplying iron, magnesium, pantothenic acid, phosphorus, calcium, and traces of vitamin A.

They also have a small amount of the fatty acid GLA (gamma linoleic acid), which produce prostaglandin an anti-inflammatory hormone that control body pain.

Like most berries, currants are high in fiber; the black, red, and white types all provide about 2 grams, or 8 percent of the DV (daily value). Fiber does more than control digestive problems like constipation and hemorrhoids, however. It also helps head off more serious health problems like high cholesterol and heart disease.

Currants juice is also good for cleansing the liver and blood. Good liver function is necessary for maintaining healthy colon, rectum and anus. Drink 1 –2 glasses a day of red or black currant berries.
